Evo Bluestein – This week, we have the privilege of enjoying music lessons from Evo Bluestein. He will be in our classroom on Wednesday and Friday so both of our in-person groups will get to see him live. Everyone will get to see him online as well, as he has two different lessons to share with us.

Awards Assemblies – Our fourth quarter awards will be able to be in-person. They are scheduled for fourth grade on June 9 and 10 at 10:00. Parents are welcome to attend, but you will need to bring your own chair and dress for the outdoor weather. Our group A and B students will be recognized on the day they are here, our group C students can choose one of those days to attend the assembly here if they would like. Look for a flyer from Mrs. Gengozian with specifics and I will keep you updated as we get closer to the date.

Hybrid Group C: I am still missing quite a few covered wagons and even a few By the Great Horn Spoon comic strips. PLEASE make sure to return completed items. I will have another pick-up this week for our remaining Studies Weekly papers and a few handouts about the telegraph and transcontinental railroad. They will be available Tuesday - Friday in front of the office. Look for the packet with your child’s name on it. This would be a good time to return the science and Wonders textbooks as well.

Covid Rapid Testing: Manchester is now offering free weekly Covid testing for all students and staff. The purpose of the testing is to prove that schools are a safe environment for everyone. This is completely voluntary, but it is being strongly encouraged. The students will administer the test themselves with our administration overlooking the process. Mrs. Gengozian sent an Actionaly message with more detailed information on Friday. Please make sure your child knows if you would like him/her to participate or not.

Textbooks: Some students have already returned their two textbooks; thank you! You may start having your child return their science and language arts textbooks any time this week. (They need to keep the social studies one with them for now.) Please make sure that their name is on a sticky note or piece of paper tucked in the front cover so we can keep track of who has and has not returned them.

Materials: Thank you for staying on top of materials that need to be available each day. 😊

Appreciating your continued support,

Lanie Huene
