Progress Reports - Progress reports should have been sent to your child’s email. You can also look at ATLAS and see current grades and any work that is missing or incomplete.
I-Ready Assessment – We will be taking the i-Ready assessment THIS WEEK! Since SBAC (California State Testing) will not be taking place this year, we will be using the i-Ready assessment to measure student growth. It is imperative that we have 100 percent of the students complete this assessment.
I have the reading portion of the test scheduled for Wednesday, May 12 and the math portion for May 14. We will start the tests during the first block of time and students will be given ample time to finish. Please encourage your child to slow down and take their time. If they rush, I get notification and the test must be retaken.
Hybrid Group C: Please bring your covered wagon to school by the end of this week. There is a black box on the table by the office where it can be left.
Covid Rapid Testing: Manchester is now offering free weekly Covid testing for all students and staff. The purpose of the testing is to prove that schools are a safe environment for everyone. This is completely voluntary, but it is being strongly encouraged. The students will administer the test themselves with our administration overlooking the process. Mrs. Gengozian sent an Actionaly message with more detailed information on Friday. Please make sure your child knows if you would like him/her to participate or not.
Textbooks: Textbooks will need to be returned before the end of the school year. You may start having your child return their science and language arts textbooks any time this week. (They need to keep the social studies one with them for now.) They can bring one per day so their backpacks aren’t as heavy. Please make sure that their name is on a sticky note or piece of paper tucked in the front cover so we can keep track of who has and has not returned them. I will talk with the students about this on Monday morning when we meet.
