Classroom Newsletter – February 22 – 26, 2021
We had a fun day on Friday celebrating the Rancho Era. Thank you for making sure your child had the supplies they needed to participate!! I took a lot of screenshots that I will send in for our collage page in the yearbook. Speaking of which, if you have pictures of your child learning from home please send yours as well. Our class page is plicbooks.com/go/8HP29. The yearbook coordinator will choose some to post on our page.
On Monday, February 22, Mrs. Gengozian will hold a meeting for all students interested in participating in Peach Blossom. This is the oral recitation competition that is help at Fresno State. It will be a virtual Peach Blossom this year and the students can all try out to represent Manchester. A message was sent to you from Mrs. Gengozian with more information, and I will speak to the students about it on Monday.
If you did not get a chance to take your school picture last week, there will make-ups on March 10 from 3:30-5:30. You can retake your picture if you need to as well.
You should have found your child’s progress report in the bag of materials that was sent home last week. This is not a report card, but it does represent their current grades.
This Friday, February 26, our class will have a substitute. She has subbed in many classrooms during our virtual learning and it seems like things should go smoothly. PLEASE make sure your child still comes to each of the normal live classroom times as they will have a math test and writing assignment that will be hard to make up if missed. The meetings will not be scheduled in advance, since she will need to schedule them in order to have full control during the lesson. I will show the students how they will go to the general channel to join the meeting instead of joining from the calendar.
I am looking forward to seeing your children at 9:00 on Monday morning! Thank you for your continued support; it is greatly appreciated.
